CLARA CANTORE (Argentinean guitarist & singer)
Clara Cantore is a young musician from Argentina with broad musical training. Singer, guitarist and composer. At just 26 years of age, she has already spent years studying with influential teachers in Argentina, Germany and Spain. She has released two albums and done several tours, sharing travels, stages and experiences with artists she admires.
Though her music is firmly rooted within the context of Argentine and Latin American folk music, there is also a strong influence of tango, flamenco and classical music, as a result of her extensive
Mentiras Criollas (2011) is her first work, released in collaboration with Gonzalo Pereira in the format of a guitar-cello duet.
Ser Tiempo (2013) is her second album featuring guests such as Raly Barrionuevo and Juan Iñaki and features her own compositions.
Over the last few years she has been able to combine her musical studies with live shows throughout Argentina, Chile, Germany, Colombia and recently Japan including concerts in Tokio, Kyoto, Nagoya, Kawamata, and Kobe.
Last October of this year, 2015, she was invited to represent her country in the Cosquin Folk Music festival taking place in the town of Kawamata, Japan.
