With his theatrical gestures and frail, lanky figure, Brindille sings in a whiskey voice the lyrics he writes to his own melodies. Brindille is a realist-decadent singer. He's a real artist. Authentic.
His bewitching universe oscillates between pop and cabaret. Acid humor or disillusioned existentialism... Brindille, or La Brindille, Brindille de Paris, as he's also known, isn't formatted or policed, he doesn't obey any rules, he takes the forbidden directions and he lets it be known, he sings about it, he laughs about it, he makes fun of it. He's underground and sulphurous.
Brindille dresses in black, wears make-up like the stars of the '30s, smokes and drinks a lot. He's a strange character, disturbing perhaps, who both confuses and fascinates.
