Nous expérimentons l'orchestration polysensorielle comme une forme d'art née de l'entrelacement du corps, de l'intellect et des émotions. Les journées du stage commenceront par un échauffement physique complet, des exercices de conditionnement Butoh et des exercices de groupe.
Sur cette base, nous nous engagerons ensuite dans des expériences synesthésiques afin d'attirer davantage l'attention sur la façon dont nos sens perçoivent et sont interconnectés, ce qui influence largement la façon dont nous percevons et créons la réalité.


Nous pratiquerons la connexion entre son, toucher et mouvement. Grâce à cette approche synesthésique, nous nous permettrons, au cours des trois jours et demi que nous passerons ensemble, de plonger dans les textures, les rythmes, les idées et les espaces intermédiaires de l'espace de Casa Barbara et du merveilleux paysage environnant. Après avoir dansé, touché, ressenti et chanté pour entrer en relation avec ces lieux, nous créerons un spectacle polysensoriel que nous partagerons le dimanche.

Ce stage sera axé sur le mouvement et proposera une certaine intensité pour devenir physiquement présent..e. Tous les exercices proposés peuvent être modifiés pour les rendre plus stimulants pour vous, que ce soit en les amplifiant, en les réduisant, en les accélérant ou en les assouplissant. Votre intérêt pour le sujet proposé est plus important que toute expérience préalable en matière de Butoh, de théâtre ou d'autres formes de danse, alors sentez-vous les bienvenu..es.


Le théâtre sensoriel vise à secouer, libérer, déconstruire le sens et remodeler les relations. C'est peut-être ainsi que nous pouvons vivre un moment d'extase et, en créant de l'art, ré-imaginer notre position dans le monde.


Un mot sur le Butoh: Il constitue la base de ma recherche artistique dans le domaine du théâtre sensoriel. Pour moi le Butoh est une remise en question intrinsèque des relations, en commençant par les hiérarchies établies dans nos propres corps. Le Butoh destabilise, crée de la confusion, l'ambiguïté du corps et de ses sens dans une conversation féroce et vivante avec notre intellect. C'est cette pratique qui m'a inspiré pour étendre la recherche qu'elle propose à des formes qui suggèrent une compréhension élargie de ce que la danse pourrait être.

Zoë Binetti, alias zozoTransistor (*1983 Berne, Suisse, artist..e de la performance), explore les interfaces corporelles entre la musique, le toucher, la danse, la lumière, l'installation et la sculpture. Zoë est titulaire d'un Master of Arts en Art Contemporain (CAP) de la Haute école des arts de Berne (HKB) et a suivi une formation internationale en Butoh, théâtre physique, improvisation musicale et shiatsu. En 2021, crazinistArtistStudio à Kumasi, au Ghana a sélectionné Zoë pour la résidence pIAR. En 2021-2022, Zoë était en tournée avec la pièce solo "cast(s) - un rituel de deuil comique pour les ancêtres queer". Zoë gère une chaîne YouTube à l'interface entre le tutoriel d'entraînement, le documentaire et la performance vidéo, et enseigne l'art de la performance basée sur le mouvement, le Butoh et le théâtre sensoriel. Zoë fait également partie de l'équipe curatoriale de KREMA, un festival d'arts contemporains au crématorium de Berne.

INFORMATIONS PRATIQUES
Dates : 26-29 septembre 2024. Arrivée le jeudi 26 dans la matinée (possibilité d'arriver le 25). Départ le 29 après midi ou 30 matin.
Adresse : Notre quartier général sera l'ancienne église de Molières sur Cèze dans les magnifiques paysages des Cévennes où nous construisons actuellement, avec l'aide de nombreux..ses amiex..s, un centre de création, de résidences et de stages.
Accès : les aéroports les plus proches sont Nîmes et Avignon. De la gare de Nîmes, il y a des trains vers Alès. La ligne 230 (Bus) ramène directement d'Alès à Molières sur Cèze.
Nous échangerons les adresses des participant..es pour faciliter le covoiturage.
Hébergement : 12 € par nuit en dortoir dans l'ancienne église. 9 € en tente ou dans votre propre véhicule. Utilisation de toutes les commodités incluse.
Nourriture : 12 € par jour. Cuisine commune en rotation.
Tarifs: 250€
Assurance : il est nécessaire que chaque participant..e ait sa propre assurance santé. Assurez-vous d'apporter une copie sur place. Vous devrez signer un formulaire de décharge avant le début du stage.

Sensorial Theatre Workshop zith Zoë Binetti
26. - 29.9.2024, residential Casa Barbara

We experiment with polysensual orchestration as an art form birthed out of the interweaving of body, intellect and feeling.
The workshop days will begin with a thorough physical warm-up, Butoh conditionings, and group exercises. On this basis, we then engage in synaesthetic experiments to bring more attention to how our senses perceive and how they interconnect with each other - which largely influences how we perceive and create „reality“.
For example, we will practice an axis between sound, touch and movement.
Through this synaesthetic approach we will allow ourselves, in the three and a half days we spend together, to take a deep dive into the textures, rhythms, ideas, and spaces in between of the beautiful church Casa Barbara and the marvelous surrounding landscape.
From having danced, touched, smelled, and sung our way into relationship with these places, we will create a polysensual performance piece which we will share with each other on Sunday.

This workshop will be movement based and proposes a certain intensity in order to become physically present. All proposed exercises can be modified to make them challenging for you, whether that is by making them bigger, smaller, faster or softer.
Your interest in the topic proposed is more important than any previous experience in butoh, theater or other dance forms, so please feel welcome.

Sensorial Theatre is about shaking out, releasing, deconstructing meaning and reshaping relationships. Maybe this way we can experience a moment of ecstasy and, by creating art, re-imagine our position in the world.
A word about butoh, which forms the basis of my artistic research in Sensorial Theatre:
The way i understand butoh is that as a practice it proposes an intrinsic queering of relationships - starting with the established hierarchies in our own bodies. The way butoh goes about this is by setting the muddiness the murkiness, the ambiguity of the body and its senses into a fierce and vivid conversation with our intellect.
It is this practice which has inspired me to expand the research it proposes into forms that suggest an expansive understanding on what dance might be.

Zoë Binetti, aka zozoTransistor (*1983 Bern Switzerland, performance artist)
explores embodied interfaces between music, touch, dance, light, installation and sculpture. z. holds a Master of Arts in Contemporary Art (CAP) from the Bern University of the Arts (HKB) and has been trained internationally in butoh, physical theater, music improvisation and shiatsu. In 2021, z. was selected for the pIAR residency at the crazinistArtistStudio in Kumasi, Ghana.
2021-2022 z. toured with the solo piece cast(s) - a comic mourning ritual for queer ancestors. z. runs a Youtube channel at an interface between workout tutorial, documentary and video performance and teaches movement-based performance art, butoh and sensorial theater.
Z. is also part of the curatorial team of KREMA, a festival for contemporary arts at the crematorium of Bern.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Dates : September 26th to 29th, 2024. Arrival on morning 26th (possibility of arriving 25th evening). Departure on the afternoon of the 29th (also possible to stay one extra night)
Address: Our headquarter will be the old church of Molières sur Cèze in the beautiful landscapes of the Cevennes where we are currently building, with the help of many friends, a center for creation, residencies and workshops.
Access: nearest airports are Nimes and Avignon. Trains arrive to Nimes and from there to Alès. There are buses from Alès to Molières sur Ceze.
We will exchange addresses of participants to facilitate car-pooling.
Lodging: 12€ per night dormitory in the old church. 9€ in tent or in your own vehicle. Use of all amenities included.
Food: 12 € per day. Communal cooking in rotation.
Workshop fee: 250€
Insurance:It is a prerequisite that each participant has their own health insurance. Make sure to bring a copy on site.You will have to sign a release form before start of the workshop.
